Position Description:
Position Purpose:
The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst contributes in a lead role to the Sr. Leadership team in the evaluation, design, development and implementation of standardized reporting, business processes and information systems solutions. The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst will handle all aspects of business intelligence project management from inception to completion. The Sr Business Intelligence Analyst will have primary responsibility for the development and maintenance of business strategies, dashboards for projects, initiatives and/or categories. The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst will act as a strategic thought partner on issues facing the business. The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst will develop and track category and program performance as well as monitor trends.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:

  • 35%- Extracting data from multiple sources, manipulating data/data validation, and conducting root cause and behavioral analyses
  • 35%- Developing business/operational solutions/recommendations and Executive Level presentations to present complex, customized analytic findings to senior management
  • 20%- Create and distribute high level business performance reporting
  • 10%- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for the Customer Engagement Center (Contact Center) Organization

Nature and Scope:
  • This position reports to the GC Manager, Business Intelligence.
  • This position has no direct reports.

Environmental Job Requirements:
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Standard Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience:
5 years

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Tableau certification preferred
  • Experience in Operational Analysis of corporate initiatives preferred
  • Knowledge of e-commerce industry and call centers preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
  • Extensive experience in a hands on analytical role, with focus on Root Cause Analysis and Behavioral Analysis in analyzing business problems and making business/operational recommendations
  • Experience mining big data (SQL knowledge required) from multiple relational databases (Teradata and MS-SQL Server)
  • Highly proficient in Data Analysis Tools and Report Development (Excel, Tableau, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of or experience working with statistical analysis tools (SAS or R Preferred)
  • Understanding of data visualization best practices
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
