Position Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
The Master Trainer schedules, manages, and delivers enterprise-wide learning events for retail associates through various methods including distance learning technologies and leader-led events. The Master Trainer partners with the Learning Development team as a subject matter expert to create and update training courses focused on the needs of associates in the areas of operations, product knowledge, and selling. The Master Trainer may serve as a project lead for Learning projects or ad-hoc webinar requests and is responsible for the planning, organizing, and controlling of those projects.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- 60% Delivery of training and development programs for retail associates
- 30% Administrative (calendar planning, scheduling offerings in learning management system,
- 10% Partnering with the learning development team to serve as a subject matter expert in the

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS  
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 2 

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to stoop or lift light objects (typically less than 8 pounds).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or related field experience in specialty product areas (flooring, millwork, kitchen/bath, appliances) and/or store operations Experience in the facilitation of instructor-led training with a solid understanding and application of adult learning principles
2 years in retail industry or Home Depot equivalent
