Position Description:

For Nevada and New York City residents: The pay range for this position is between $90k and $110K.

Starting salary may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. 

The Home Depot offers additional competitive financial and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit-sharing program depending on position.

Position Purpose:

The primary role of this position is to develop and support business intelligence and ensure data quality with our customers. Our customers are business users internal to The Home Depot. In this role you will apply techniques and methods that are appropriate, effective and leading-edge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • 30% Developing data intelligence and in-house knowledge on competitive pricing and assortment
  • 20% Building data quality reports and developing a system to automatically monitor key metrics and generate alerts
  • 10% Reviewing and presenting progress on data intelligence and quality metrics to key stakeholders on a regular basis
  • 10% Fulfilling ad hoc requests/reports and developing automated solutions when needed by customer or internal teams
  • 30% Working closely with engineering and product teams to fix any data quality issues and look for better ways to implement Analytics solutions with innovative technology/methodology
Direct Manager/Direct Reports:
  • This role reports to a Sr Manager.
  • This role has no direct reports.
Travel Requirements:
  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Physical Requirements:
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Work experience using statistics, data mining or related disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Economics, MIS or other quantitative subject
Minimum Education:
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

  • No additional education
Minimum Years of Work Experience:
  • 3
Competencies:
  • Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret complex data
  • Strong communication skills: verbal and written
  • Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, Access and other statistical software or pricing packages (i.e. SAS, Minitab, DemandTec)
  • Ability to build relationships and work cross functionally with business partners
