Now is an exciting time to join the R&D Tech organization and drive a step change in technology strategy and delivery. Aligning our Strategy is key and the Director for R&D Tech Product Strategy will support the SDT Head in the development and collation of the R&D Tech strategy, including the creation and ongoing evolution of a 3-year plan. You will work closely with the Business Operations team to ensure a clear strategic view of investments are available driving a balanced portfolio. Working closely with the solution areas and established products to drive alignment and flag inconsistencies and deviations for discussion.
You will facilitate decision making with a strategic lens, allowing R&D Tech to balance the R&D delivery roadmap between digital as usual, digital for reinvention and digital disruption. In partnership with the SDT Leadership you will coordinate the capability assessments across 4 R&D Tech solution areas and the generation of a strategic plan to address those gaps. You will also have accountability for several strategic activities as they occur such as Strategic Enterprise-level Solutions and related changes.
o Support the Director of SDT in the development and collation of the R&D Tech strategy, including the creation and ongoing evolution of a 3-year plan ensuring a clear link to IPT and the Science x Tech x Culture strategic view from R&D.
o Works closely with the Business Operations and Portfolio team to ensure portfolio and financial processes are integrated with the R&D Tech product strategy establishing a clear strategic view of investments to drive balanced portfolio.
o Works closely with the solution areas and established products to drive alignment and flag inconsistencies and deviations for discussion.
o Facilitates decision making with a strategic lens, allowing R&D Tech to balance the R&D delivery roadmap between digital as usual, digital for reinvention and digital disruption.
o Actively assess GSK Tech, R&D and wider GSK strategy to ensure we remain aligned and monitor external Tech/Pharma strategy to provide insights
• Capability & Maturity
o In partnership with the SDT Leadership the Director R&D Tech Product Strategy will coordinate the capability assessments across 4 R&D Tech solution areas and drive the generation of a strategic plan to address those gaps.
o Maintains the library of strategy materials that can be re-used and repurposed across R&D Tech
o Alongside the Business Operations team drive strategic engagement and understanding across R&D Tech and ensures clear communication to all stakeholders.
• Enterprise Change and VoC
o Ensures strategic enterprise-level solutions and related changes are integrated within R&D with neutral/positive impact (e.g. Win 10).
o Drives a cross-R&D VoC framework to collect, action and report feedback from/to R&D user groups (Cohorts) and help inform the solution area heads on implications to their strategy.
