JOB: Discover Products Inc. seeks a Project Manager, Collection Strategy in Riverwoods, Illinois to serve as a joint stakeholder in the overall effort by CMA to increase payment preference and improve long term loyalty for CMs in the collections process. Categorize delinquent accounts for further collection actions and optimize treatment and operations to prevent charge off and improve collected amount. Identify relationship between key business drivers and overall impact on risk and reward tradeoffs. Optimize business return under business constraints by using statistical methodologies and data mining techniques. Develop collection strategies to reduce roll rates, charge off rates and improve business profits. Design and implement challenger tests to improve strategies. Work closely with implementation team to ensure that the strategies are implemented accurately and are running as designed. Establish and maintain effective performance tracking ensuring that strategies are performing as expected and provide recommendations of changes in a timely manner. Present findings and recommendations to business partners and senior management. Provide ad hoc analytical supports to business partners and senior management. Develop business strategies, perform statistical analysis of risk management and credit bureau common data, and translate analysis into business solutions.  Utilize tools and skills including data mining, SAS, Teradata, SQL, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Tableau). Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.


REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics or a related quantitative field and four (4) years of experience: programming with SQL, SAS, R, and Python;  formulating business issues into analytical problems and deriving actionable solutions; performing data modeling; utilizing statistical modeling methodologies including ANOVA, ANCOV, GLM, clustering and decision trees; and performing data analysis using Tableau and Excel.
