Denver Health & Hospital (DHHA), in the heart of thriving downtown Denver, CO, is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist, who is Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anesthesiology to join our team. Candidate can be Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatric Anesthesiology as well. The successful candidate will be joining a group of 17 physicians with 24/7 in-house coverage. Call on average is 2-4 nights/month with back-up call averaging 2-4 nights/month. This is an academic position with teaching and supervision over a mix of residents, CRNAs, and medical students.
DHHA has been certified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level I Adult Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. DHHA offers comprehensive surgical, obstetric, medical and psychiatric care, as well as emergency, ambulatory and diagnostic services. With 525 licensed beds Denver Health Medical Center is one of the state’s busiest hospitals with more than 26,000 admissions annually. The successful candidate will have completed a terminal medical degree (e.g. MD or DO) and be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anesthesiology. Candidate can be Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatric Anesthesiology as well. The candidate will receive an academic appointment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Health Sciences at an academic rank commensurate with experience.

Education 1. Graduation from an Accredited Medical School and completed Accredited Residency Programs and fellowships for specialist, equivalent. 2. Equivalent training for those Physicians who are not U.S. residency trained 3. The MSEC can grant privileges on a one-on-one review. Experience Experience requirements vary depending on specialty and position. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1. Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques. 2. Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment. 3. Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care. 4. Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems. 7. Performs in a tactful and professional manner. 8. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. 9. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Computers and Technology 1. Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2. EPIC Certificates, Licenses and Registration 1. Medical license to practice in State of Colorado. 2. Physician Board certification in professional medical discipline. 3. Appropriate certifications designated by department i.e. BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, Etc.
