Aside from the contributions that you make to the company, Covanta’s Interns are also provided with many learning opportunities & networking experiences to ensure you get a full understanding of the company & its culture.  Past activities include but not limited to lunch and learns with our executive leadership team, facility tour, safety training, and networking events with our Early Career Development Program participants. At the close of your internship, you will also have the opportunity to present your work & experience to the company.

Utilizing what they’ve learned at Covanta, many graduates of the intern program go on to have successful careers within the company. Rising Seniors may be considered for our Early Career Development Program's 2022 hires.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • MOR data analysis in support of Engineering Entitlement Analysis


  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical)
  • Current Rising Junior/Senior or Coop Post Sophomore
  • Strong communication and computer skills required
  • Analytical and planning skills coupled with the ability to multi-task
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and creative problem solving approach
  • Strong team player; the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • MS Office skills, expertise with Excel and Power Point
  • Strong team player; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship
  • Positive attitude coupled with passion & willingness to learn
