Position Summary:
The IT System Administrator - Oncology is responsible for coordinating technical and functional aspects and overseeing Beacon Oncology Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems such as project leadership, report writing, programming, template creation and system administration.

Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Information Systems or Bachelors Computer Science or Bachelors Related Field or Medical degree such as Registered Nurse (RN), and 4 (four) years IT or system administration experience.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS
Epic Beacon. Qualified individual will be Epic Beacon certified or will obtain certification within six (6) months of start date in position.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Three (3) Related Field

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Has practical methodological experience in change management, project management, UAT, WIT, Integrated Testing, growth and extensibility planning, and in managing real time imaging or clinical systems. Effective communication skills, ability to function well in stressful situations, ability to function well as part of a team required. Requires strong analytical and technical skills to resolve routine to complex problems by following departmental procedures with minimal guidance and supervision.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages overall function, operation, implementation and integration of the specialty specific EMR and/or imaging systems. Manages performance and work of departmental software support engineer.
  • Identifies data needs and process improvements relating to environment and specialty specific EMR and/or imaging system.
  • Provides end-user support for the specialty specific EMR and/or imaging applications
