    Job Description

    As a Software Developer of CPU Verification Infrastructure, you will be part of a central methodology team developing generic verification infrastructure and flows. Typical applications are based on data collected from CPU execution traces. They include viewers, debuggers, checkers, as well as integration with EDA tools and development platforms (e.g. RTL simulators, hardware emulators, waveform debuggers, FPGA). The team deploys and supports its tools to all CPU design centers and project teams.

    You will be based in Arm’s Sophia Antipolis design centre, located in one of the most beautiful parts of France, at the heart of Europe’s largest and most dynamic technology park. Surrounded by mountains and the Mediterranean Sea, this exceptional design centre has delivered leading products from Arm’s Cortex (TM) processor family.

    As a Software Developer of CPU Verification Infrastructure, you will be accountable for:

    • Building infrastructure and flows to improve efficiency of the verification teams;
    • Acting as a guide to collect and propagate methodologies and good practices;
    • Collaborating with teams across the company to identify their needs and define the best solutions to fulfill them;
    • Developing user-friendly and scalable tools for efficiently processing and analysing huge datasets;
    • Providing effective support to internal users.

    Job Requirements

    You bring a variety of skills, experience and qualifications:

    • You graduated from a University or Engineering School, in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electronic / Electrical Engineering, or other related science
    • You hold between 1 and 5 years of experience in software application development
    • You have excellent software design and development skills, especially C, C++, python, as well as related development tools and environment (Linux libraries and tools, make, git, etc.)
    • You are fluent in embedded programming, assembly language (preferably Arm)
    • Knowledge of CPU architecture at the instruction-set level.

    What would give you an edge? Any additional skill among:

    • Hardware functional/performance modeling
    • Good appreciation of performance and efficiency issues
    • Software development and test best-practice.

    It is also important for you to:

    • Have the ability to integrate into a small team and interact with other teams around the company
    • Have a thorough and practical attitude to problem-solving
    • Have good communication and interpersonal skills

    About the office

    The staff at the Arm Sophia Antipolis design center is mostly focused on CPU design. Sophia Antipolis is a technology park that’s surrounded by a large national park, with wild boar that live within the city and can be seen strolling through the tech park. It’s conveniently located a quick 30 minute drive southwest of Nice, 45 minutes to Monaco, and only 20 minutes to Cannes.
