We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
We need a hardworking, creative, self-reliant experienced engineer for our office in Trondheim, who will play an integral part in the FPGA prototyping team.
Your new team
The FPGA team develops the flows used to build and run the FPGA images needed to perform accelerated verification of Arm IP products, including graphics processors and machine learning.
These flows also include built in support to enable IP designers to debug design errors. We use the largest FPGAs available and often partition the IP across multiple FPGAs. You will also work together with other team members to support and maintain a large number of FPGA systems which are deployed in our off-site data centers.
We use state-of-the-art FPGA prototyping platforms from the top tier EDA and prototyping vendors in order to increase the amount of testing that can be achieved before product release. The FPGA prototypes are also vital for early SW development.
Responsible for creating and maintaining FPGA build flows and ensuring that assigned FPGA image creation and debug tasks are completed on time and to a high quality level. You will also deploy and support new hardware either on desks or in centralized farms.
Working closely with FPGA and EDA vendors to debug and resolve image flow problems whilst engaging with IP design and verification engineers in the Arm IP design groups to ensure the FPGA HW and flows and the target SoCs incorporate the features necessary to meet Arm IP verification goals.
Support the flow automation teams and work closely with our internal customers to understand future design roadmaps and build and install FPGA platforms.
What you’ll need to succeed
It's essential you have FPGA prototyping or RTL design and synthesis background. Experience with TCL/Perl and/or other scripting languages is a must have. It would be great, not a need, if you had experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment and you should be motivated to work with us on prototyping the latest IP.
If you are a creative and tenacious problem solver with good interpersonal and teamwork skills, who is well organised and able to work independently and drive initiative strategies - we want to hear from you!
A university degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or other relevant technical discipline.
