    About the role

    This exciting new role is for the position of Senior Functional Safety Manager within the Arm Functional Safety Centre of Excellence (FuSa CoE)! You will be working with a fast growing and strong team, defining requirements for market leading products for one of the world's most renowned and successful companies!

    With applications in automotive, industrial, medical, aerospace etc. your ideas will make a difference and you will have the opportunity to challenge the status quo and ultimately improve how functional safety is integrated in the Arm culture. The number of safety related products is constantly growing and now spans from individual IPs to sub systems and software.

    You will report to the Director of Functional Safety and will coordinate and develop alignments with domain authorities across the larger Arm organization that follow the Arm global FuSa management process.

    You will be responsible for signing off confirmation reviews of safety work products and liaise with external assessors.

    The primary markets requiring high levels of standard compliance are automotive and industrial; however, there are other sectors where functional safety standard compliance is either desired or required, and this is expected to broaden in the relatively near future as the adoption of Arm technologies is taking place in many areas.

    Job Requirements

    What will you be accountable for?

    • You will contribute to the continuous definition and improvement of the Arm Functional Safety process
    • You will perform confirmation reviews that need the highest level of independence
    • You will interact with members of the Arm Functional Safety Partnership Program (AFSPP) as required
    • You will work closely and effectively with project teams to promote the safety culture
    • You will deliver FuSa training to Arm engineers
    • You will prepare material such as presentations and blogs
    • You will plan and track assessments progress as well as driving open actions to closure
    • You will help Arm groups in implementing the Arm Functional safety processes in an effective way through timely reviews and implementation of supporting processes such as configuration management and change control.
    • You will facilitate the definition of Functional Safety documentation packages
    • You will attend customers meeting (some travel is expected)

    What skills, experience, and qualifications will you need?

    • Practical knowledge (5 years or more) of one or more functional safety standards such as ISO 26262, IEC 61508, EN 5012X, DO-254, DO-178C, etc.
    • Practical experience of process definition activities, either in a project or at group level
    • You will have experience as an auditor and with problem solving methodologies (e.g. root cause analysis, 5Y or 8D) preferred
    • You will possess strong interpersonal skills to help develop relationships and network with key partners in order to influence and be a safety advocate
    • You will have experience in the production of functional safety documentation
    • You will have a keen interest in functional safety and the ramification within technology
