    About the role

    Could you lead a global team of dedicated engineers to evolve Arms infrastructure towards efficiency through introduction and improvement of automation and orchestration? ​​

    As the Manager of Infrastructure and Platform Automation within Arm you will manage a global team who focus on automation capabilities and integrate this into strategy, design, enhancements, and life-cycle of infrastructure company wide. You and your team will have the accountability for identify what is in place, and the development, testing, delivery, and support of automation solutions.  These solutions will deliver efficiency and consistency across all Infrastructure & Platforms.​

    Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Automation and Tools, you will cultivate and lead the Automation team in delivering the Infrastructure team strategy.  Collaboration across the group for automation and service efficiency, and coordinate your team for coverage for major incidents and maintenance, is crucial. Working closely with your direct reports, seasoned engineers across the global towers, and our strategic partners or vendors to deliver, develop, and operate the global offering.​

    Must have experience delivering automation solutions across a variety of infrastructure and platforms, including HP, Dell, DellEMC, Cisco, Fujitsu, and Linux/Windows.  Experience in HPC, and specifically with IBM LSF is preferred. ​

     Key Responsibilities of the role:

    • The Global delivery of Automation focused on security, consistency, availability, performance, and efficiency of operations​
    • Line managing coaching the Automation team, including career development and performance management​
    • Ensuring the global team is structured to provide the most efficient and effective coverage of the automation solutions​
    • Working across towers to collaborate and orchestrate solutions which deliver efficiency and consistency​
    • Designing and maintaining a reciprocal relationship across our key platform owners and 3rd party suppliers to define and develop our global platform strategy as it relates to automation​
    • Supporting the Infrastructure services by ensuring alignment across key delivery functions in addition to supporting business engagement and incident management as and when required. ​

    Job Requirements

    Essential Skills & Experience:

    • Experience building and leading direct reports and mentoring teams/individuals in other towers in regards to automation and orchestration​
    • Experience of developing and delivering an innovative Infrastructure automation and operational tools for global, large scale, data center & infrastructure services​
    • Ability to communicate across a broad breadth of business and technical stake holders.​
    • Familiarity with all aspects of delivering innovative enterprise IT services including automation, life-cycle, vulnerability management, performance optimization, and resiliency.​
    • Experience in cultivating and performance managing individuals and teams. ​
    • Experiences thinking on your feet and dedication to ensure success. ​
    • Commitment to own the outcomes and success of you and your team.​
    • Experience of consistent and concise communication across all levels of business and technology​
    • Experience modernizing legacy infrastructure & platforms​
    • The desire to drive efficiency through the use of tools, processes and people.​
