We have an opportunity for a software engineer at our Belfast office. We are seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic software engineer to join one of Arm’s software tool development teams in the IPG group.
IPG is responsible for developing, delivering, and supporting Arm's IP products. With over 45 offices across the globe and around 5,000 people, IPG remains Arm’s largest function. IPGs mission is to deploy secure, energy efficient, Arm-based technology wherever computing happens.
As an expert software engineer, you will be working alongside and supported by our team of highly skilled engineers. Typical responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
Developing software products used to produce and maintain millions of SIM/USIM/eUICC cards.
Maintaining current code base which is comprised of nearly a million lines of code.
Customer support, ranging from online to world-wide travel possibilities.
Working closely with other teams to ensure that our tools and their software co-exist expertly.
Real passion for software development.
Strong knowledge of Java and Object Oriented programming.
Strong knowledge of Java Swing.
Good knowledge of version control systems (Git, SVN, etc...).
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (specification, development, test, release, maintenance).
Good knowledge with at least one Java IDE (Netbeans, Eclipse, IntelliJ).
Good knowledge of software design pattern, especially MVC.
Previous experience with software engineering.
Experience with automated build systems such as Maven or Gradle.
Experience with smart-card or embedded systems technologies.
Familiar with test processes and frameworks, such as JUnit and AssertJ.
Familiar with major operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux).
Experience with security and cryptography.
