    About the role

    As the Linux Platform Manager within Arm you will lead a global team who focus on the Linux platforms utilized by our engineering team. You and your team will have the accountability for delivery and support of Linux platforms, striving to continually excel and advance the platform service. From deployment to daily operations and through retirement or refresh – the Linux Platform team will maintain service performance, vulnerability compliance, versioning, availability, and continuing platform improvement.

    Collaborating with the Director of IT Infrastructure Operations, you will provide leadership to the Platform team in delivering the Infrastructure team strategy, collaborate across the group for automation and service efficiency, and coordinate your team for coverage for major incidents and maintenance activities. Working closely with your direct reports, seasoned engineers across the global, and our strategic partners or vendors to deliver and develop the global support offering.

    What will I be accountable for?

    • The Global delivery of Linux Platform passionate about security, availability, performance, and efficiency of operations
    • Line developing a team of globally disperse engineers, including career development and performance management
    • Ensuring the dedicated global team is structured to provide the most efficient and effective coverage of the Platform
    • Working as part of a wider management team you will ensure all of Infrastructure products and services are aligned to key principles and strategy of Infrastructure team
    • Designing and maintaining a reciprocal relationship across our key platform owners and 3rd party suppliers to define and develop our global platform strategy
    • Supporting the Platform by ensuring alignment across key delivery functions in addition to supporting business engagement and incident management as and when required.

    What skills, experience, and qualifications do I need?
    • Experience of team leading and mentoring teams
    • Experience of developing and delivering a high-performance Linux platform within a large enterprise
    • Ability to communicate across a broad breadth of business and technical partners
    • Familiarity with all aspects of delivering Linux Platform including automation, life cycle, vulnerability management, performance optimization, and resiliency
    • Experience in cultivating and performance managing individuals and teams.
    • Experiences thinking on your feet and dedication to ensure success
    • You respect the priorities and concerns of other teams and individuals. You work creatively and passionately to negotiate through these to achieve successful outcomes. You have the project management and teamwork skills to execute and deliver these outcomes
    • Experience establishing credible relationships across a broad variety of individuals at varying levels, within own and partner organization, maintaining and growing these relationships even during challenging times.
