There are currently projects available within the two groups in Lund that are responsible for delivering ARM’s new hardware IP designs:

- The Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Group which works on key technologies for the future of computing. Working on the cutting edge of Arm IP, this Group creates technology that powers the next generation of mobile apps, portable devices, home automation, smart cities, self-driving cars, and much more.

Current Project Offerings Include:
Project #1: Queuing theory model of a GPU - The goal of this thesis is to formulate a mathematical description of a GPU design based on queuing theory. Explore the properties of such a formulation and its ability to extract performance bottleneck information.
Project #2: Geometry intersection testing on the GPU – This project will investigate what software and hardware support current state-of-the-art development focuses on and present that. Also, learn about the Mali GPU hardware architecture and explore ways geometry intersection testing could be implemented within GPU by prototyping some trivial hardware extensions in our GPU model.
Project #3: Investigation of Data Transforms for Image Compression- The project is an opportunity to get hands-on experience with algorithm development, and a chance to see what it is like to work as an engineer at Arm. The project is suitable for two students working together.

About the office
The Arm Lund office is comprised of hardware and software developers working with future versions of the Arm Graphics Processing and Machine Learning technology. The office is located in the province of Skåne at the most southern tip of Sweden, just a stone's throw across the water from Copenhagen in Denmark via the Öresund Bridge which connects the two countries. The province is well known for its beautiful scenery, high quality of life as well as being home to Lund University and a range of tech companies.
