    Job Description

    Do you love working in a fast-paced, High Availability environment where you can show success by diagnosing and resolving Incidents using cutting edge technology? Are you collaborative and able to mentor others?
    We are looking for an expert in LSF technologies with a commitment to ensuring operations and development are secure and scalable.
    The Technology Services Group (TSG) provides the high-performance compute environment that fuels product and solutions development for Arm's engineering community and you could join our team as a Senior HPC system administrator.

    Role overview:

    This role involves customer support activities that will take a number of forms. First of all, you will need to be able to analyse complex problems and provide comprehensive responses to customers
    Second, you will be responsible for helping to improve our products. You will raise defects against development tools and documentation, prepare documentation and periodically write knowledge base articles.

    Collaborate with and work as part of our team, with HPC applications and Infrastructure engineers developing & supporting LSF
    Investigate, Diagnosis & Resolve Incidents, analysis of monitoring, logs and system behaviour to resolve Incidents as quickly as possible in accordance with customer Service Levels. Attend Post Incident Reviews as well as Tracking and documenting all Incidents worked on in detail
    Monitor application status, performance and capacity and develop and implement enhancements
    Provide feedback to help Problem Management and Continuous Service Improvement
    Coordinate and collaborate with 3rd Party vendors, customer contacts and other Arm teams

    Job Requirements

    What skills, experience, and qualifications will you bring?

    • Degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent experience
    • Extensive experience in a HPC technical support role, LSF skills is highly preferred
    • Strong knowledge on Linux OS fundamentals
    • Follow Arm’s 'Secure by Design' philosophy
    • Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, Perl etc)
    • Experience with remote display protocol based applications such as Exceed on Demand and Exceed Turbo X
    • Hands-on experience with automation and DevOps tools like Ansible, puppet, Git/Gerrit
    • Understanding of software development methodologies -e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.using Jira and Confluence
