    Job Description

    Arm Research is in the heart of technological innovations, and is seeking highly motivated candidates to work on cutting-edge research placements.  Within Arm Research, the Emerging Technologies Research team offers internships in the multi-disciplinary area of AI, which involves technologies around Computer Vision, scene semantics, novel Neural Networks design, applied ML, and sensory data fusion, with a view to low-power System Intelligence.  Successful candidates will experience first-hand how Arm Research shapes the future, and how Arm enables and collaborates with an ecosystem of more than one thousand partners, that ship over 10 billion leading-edge Arm-powered processors each year.

    Job Requirements


    Education & qualifications

    · Pursuing MSc degree or PhD in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Applied Mathematics / Physics / or related

    · Candidates pursuing BS degree in the above fields may be considered provided they have relevant skills and experience


    Essential Skills & Experience:

    - Machine learning principles, neural networks design
    - Hands-on experience in training and deploying a NN 
    - Programming in a procedural language (C, C++, Rust)
    - Programming in any of Python, Ruby
    - Comfortable with shell scripting
    - Version control systems – preferably git
    - Basic understanding of software stacks and system architecture


    Desirable Skills & Experience  In any of the following areas:

    Comfortable with one of: PyTorch/Caffe/TensorFlow

    Experience in any of: 

    -Computer Vision (e.g. OpticalFlow, SLAM)
    -Computational Linguistics (e.g. NLP, ASR)
    -Programming Inertial Motion Units (IMUs)
    -Software and System performance analysis
    -Good understanding of Computer Architecture
    -System analysis experience

    Extra points for experience in:

    -Generative Adversarial Neural Networks
    -LSTMs and RNNs
    -Bayesian Inference
    -SIMD and Parallel programming & execution
    -Experience with programming for a GPGPU
