    About the role

    As a Sales Development Rep on the Arm Internet of Things (IoT) Sales and Business Development team you develop, grow, and accelerate market share, bookings, and accounts. You are chartered with identifying, targeting, prospecting and nurturing new Arm prospective customers. You will make first contact with prospective customers and report to the Director of IoT Sales & Business Development Unit for the Americas.

    You will embody Arm’s values and articulate our unique approach to the business and technology challenges facing IoT adopters. Are you passionate about quickly building confidence, planting the seeds of trust, and most critically, listening? If so, then we would like you to consider stepping up to be the Arm ambassador for IoT expertise, our agent in the field by using your unique style of aggressive empathy. Join this team and work closely with Sales Executives, Pre Sales and Marketing. Here you are empowered as a subject matter expert to drive the entire sales cycle with creativity and urgency from initial engagement to bookings and delivery. You will help build sustained pipeline and grow market share with key IoT services in strategic verticals.

    What will you be accountable for?

    • Listen to and understand our prospects’ initial technical, industry, and market challenges, and their contextual implications.
    • Target enterprise and mid-market customer segments in alignment with Arm’s strategy, then research and generate contact lists.
    • Prospect contacts using outbound calls and emails that demonstrate offers of value. Receive inbound calls and service or route them accordingly.
    • Nurture previously-contacted prospects with timely and useful communiques.
    • Refer prospects and customers to the Arm’s experts who can help them most - technical support or business development resources.
    • Synthesize and report interesting trends, concerns, and needs you detect through client interaction.
    • SDRs are best positioned to acquire market intelligence and feed it back into product management, sales, and marketing.
    • Gently transition qualified prospects to Arm’s enterprise sales executives or Channels.
    • Maintain an ongoing understanding of Arm’s product and service capabilities.
    • Start-up mentality; highly motivated with problem-solving ability; self-starter with a hunter attitude.
    • Customer-focused and Customer-sensitive; able to motivate team members and co-workers; able to influence positively; flexible and hard-working
    • Good communications and presentation skills; able to present to executives, management and engineering (external and internal) 
         

     

     

    Job Requirements


    What skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?

    • At least two (2) year of experience as an inside sales representative, business development representative, or technical support representative in a software or SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS company.
    • Proven experience confidently making 40 or more outbound calls to prospective customers per day
    • A track record of consistent concern for the well-being of your customers
    • Demonstrated prowess with influence through powerful written and verbal skills
    • Experience tailoring communications to fit the audience and situation and accurately convey the correct understanding - including evidence of listening to and contextualizing the challenges of prospects
    • A career progression that illustrates your hard-working, self-directed, and goal oriented motivations
    • Experience prioritizing, focusing, and thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
    • Strong experience with CRMs, dialing, marketing automation, and collaboration tools
