    Job Description

Are you a super-hero? Do you want to save the world? Sounds like you are just right for a role in Business Continuity.

Are you interested in a 12 months fixed term contracting position? As one of the BCM team, you assist and provide operational support while reporting to the Senior Business Continuity Manager.

An excellent opportunity for someone looking to build on their knowledge in a growing global tech company. Working in a small team you will assist in maintaining the established continuity and crisis response program throughout the organisation. A key element will be how you build on relationships with people at all levels across the company.

Arm is an equal opportunities employer and while the team is based in Cambridge we have responsibility at a global level, working with local contacts based in over 35 offices worldwide. This provides you with an exciting opportunity to gain a lot of experience in a short period of time.

You will be motivated, a self-starter, keen to learn and contribute to the program. A people person, happy to develop relationships

A day in the life of a Business Continuity Analyst:

Up early today as I had scheduled 07:00am crisis communications test with Taiwan. Although this has been scheduled in advance, I want to ensure the test goes as expected and if they need any support, I am available.

Arrived in the office at 10:00am. As Arm allows for flexible working, I have taken advantage of the work I did this morning to come in a bit later and miss the morning traffic. The communications test has completed and so I start crafting the report and collating any findings.

Later this morning I meet with one of our Business Continuity Reps to review their plans.

At lunch I am meeting up with a group who are planning on a volunteering day, although not compulsory, I can use one of my volunteering days that Arm provides to do something in the local community.

Later this afternoon I will be attending a crisis response exercise to assist with the facilitation of the exercise and bringing together notes and actions.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Establishing relationships with key partners
    • Schedule and deliver and report results of call cascade tests
    • Maintain the BCM web pages
    • Support BCM governance through accurate reporting
    • Review Business Impact Assessments, check and challenge requirements against documented risk appetite.
    • Develop BC plans
    • Monitor BC e-learning compliance
    • Provide content to quarterly governance information

    Job Requirements

Ideally you have a real passion for business continuity and building a resilient organisation, key skills you will have include:

    • An understanding of business continuity through education or your work experience.
    • Ability to communicate, written and verbal, effectively to all levels.
    • Be keen to seek new challenges and learn quickly.
    • You are creative – you will question why we do things the way we do them so that we can continue to improve the program.
    • Membership of the Business Continuity Institute or similar is desireable but not essential.

At Arm, we are guided by our core beliefs that reflect our culture and guide our decisions, defining how we work together to defy ordinary and shape extraordinary:

    We not I

    • Make feedback positive and expansive, not negative and narrow
    • The essence of progress is that it can’t stop. Grow with it and own your own progress
