    Job Description

    Arm is looking for an experienced Program Manager to manage a key development program across its engineering organization which spans the UK, Hungary, Israel and the USA. The successful candidate will provide leadership to teams and project managers to ensure successful delivery of products and system solutions that deliver benefits to our partners. 

    The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader and will have experience in managing staff of different technology disciplines across multiple sites to produce results in a timely manner. They will also be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics, and be able to resolve issues when they arise.   

    The goal is to ensure that programs deliver the desired outcome to our organization and our partners. 

    The Program Manager should demonstrate competence in many or all of the following:

    • Make Decisions: Assess situations to determine their importance, urgency and associated risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization. 

    • Organize: Set priorities, develop a program schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information and activities. 

    • Plan: Determine strategies to improve the program, set goals, create and implement actions plans, and evaluate the process and results. 

    • Solve Problems: Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem. 

    Job Requirements

    Responsibilities 

    • Build a plan for effective execution, monitoring/tracking and control, identify slippages/concerns throughout the development and propose and plan solutions. 

    • Coordinate cross-project activities and track dependencies. 

    • Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects. 

    • Decide on suitable strategies and objectives for effective program execution. 

    • Liaise with other managers to ensure effective and efficient program delivery. 

    • Coordinate the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency. 

    • Develop and control deadlines, budgets and activities. 

    • Apply change, risk and resource management. 

    • Monitor program performance and aim to maximize ROI. 

    • Resolve high-level project issues affecting program execution. 

    • Provide reports for Operation and Engineering Directors. 

    • Liaise program managers from external partners to coordinate collaboration activities. 

    Requirements 

    • Proven experience as a Program Manager delivering technology related programs or similar managerial position. 

    • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods. 

    • Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles. 

    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software (MS Project etc.). 

    • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills. 

    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). 

    • Excellent problem-solving ability. 

    • Good university degree, in electronic engineering, computer engineering or computer science ideally, although other science degrees will be considered if they have relevant experience. 

    • Experience from working in an international business across many different regions and within a multicultural environment. 

    • Broad experience of different development workflows and methodologies (waterfall, enterprise Agile) within a multi-disciplinary environment 

    • A project or Program management qualification such as PMP and knowledge of MSP (Managing Successful Programs) is desirable but not essential  

    • A team player, pro-active, and willing to drive issues through to conclusion. 

    • Effective Change Manager with the ability to infuse trust while providing structured plan and clarity to stakeholders together with strong focus on end results and follow through. 

    • Good interpersonal skills to enable networking both internally and externally to Arm. 

    • Enthusiastic, open minded and with strong integrity.
