    The Arm Pelion IoT Platform provides the operating system, cloud services, tools and developer ecosystem to make the creation and deployment of commercial, standards-based IoT solutions possible at scale. The cloud services provide a wide range of capabilities including Device Management, Data and Connectivity Management.

    About The Team:

     

    You will be part of Pelion Edge Gateway Solution’s team who are focused on accelerating the ability to bring IoT devices and data management closer to the edge.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • You will implement and improve critical systems management software (written in Go and C++). Write / maintain software which does the following:

    • Build container management system to start/stop/install applications

    • Pipe syslog, kernel logs and send critical system stats to the cloud

    • Monitor the health (memory footprint, CPU usage) of processes and provide hooks to start/stop processes.

    • Handle critical system controls- reboot, remote command execution

    • Setup network interfaces with MAC address, static IP or renew lease.

    • Coordinate & work collaboratively with software development teams in the organization.

    • Help define and build new features in a clean and modular way.

    • Maintain documentation of projects as needed.

    • Active participation in our ongoing process enhancements and software development.

    Job Requirements

    Essentials:

    • Minimum 3+ years of experience developing software in C/C++.

    • Minimum 2+ years of experience with OS system calls and kernel.

    • Experience writing scripts using Javascript, Python or bash.

    • Strong and in depth Linux development skills.

    • Deep understanding of good programming practices, architecture, design patterns and unit testing.

    • Experience with software debugging tools, e.g. GDB, Valgrind.

    • Working knowledge of these networking concepts: TCP/IP, HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, basic network routing.

    • Excellent social and collaboration skills.

    • Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, & analysis skills.

       

      Desired:

    • Have experience designing software using Go programming language.

    • Worked on Linux netfilter / iptables.

    • Hands on experience in developing Linux kernel drivers.

    • Experience with Cloud programming and architecture (AWS, GCE).

    • Knowledge of Virtualization Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

    • Familiarity with Database systems like MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB

    • You have demonstrated ownership of end to end delivery of certain modules/apps in his/her past experience.

    • Exposure to working in Agile/Scrum based teams.

      B.S./B.E./B.Tech/M.S/M.Tech/MCA in CS, EC, ECE, EE

    The Arm Noida office features staff almost entirely from the Physical Design team.
