    Job Description

    We are expanding the Trondheim graphics software team with a DevOps role and are looking particularly for software or test engineers who feel confident working with continuous integration, customized and in-house test systems, who are not afraid of solving infrastructure problems and who have a passion for automation. The role involves cooperating with other development and testing teams in Europe. Applicants will be working within the software engineering team to support the development of graphics drivers for the current and the next generation of ARM graphics cores.

        

    Education & Qualifications

    Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, computer engineering or electronics engineering with good academic record.


    Essential
     Skills & Experience

    • Experience in handling automated test environments for driving continuous integration (e.g. Jenkins, and Jenkins scripting).
    • Experience with Linux host environments.
    • Experience with setting up Arm-based development platforms, running Android and/or Linux.
    • Proficiency in problem solving and debugging skills.
    • Practical, organized and analytical approach to work. 
    • Willingness and ability to contribute to process improvement initiatives.
    • Knowledge of Python, and Bash scripting.

    Desirable

    • Experience with remote target debugging for Android, or embedded Linux.
    • Experience building Linux or Android kernels.
    • Experience with git and Gerrit.
    • Experience with C/C++.

    • Self-motivating, flexibility, with strong inter-personal skills.
    • Good English communication skills, oral and written.
    • Able to work to tight deadlines.

    About the office

    The Arm Trondheim office focuses on expertise in graphics hardware, driver software, FPGA and ASIC implementation and performance analysis. Our office used to be a bank, and we now use the vault as a games room! Trondheim is a picturesque city located on the Trondheimsfjord and an excellent place to see the beautiful aurora borealis.
