As a Hardware Engineering Manager you will lead the Lund based ML hardware IP design, verification and physical implementation team. The role responsibility includes driving the team to accomplish their goals and to continuously improve the performance of the team and its individuals. The team consists of around 30 engineers who are organized into smaller sub teams.
In this role, you will be part of a highly motivated engineering team leading design and verification activities, and you will have responsibilities that cover all areas of the IP product process, from initial feasibility through to customer deployment. You will also be responsible for driving longer term activities such as methodology improvements and alignment with the rest of Arm.
You will work closely with the ML project manager coordinating work for the HW team. You will act as one of the main interfaces towards the ML software, system test teams as well as other functions within the company, e.g. support and technical publications teams.
Proven track record of technical leadership and engineering management of a team of highly skilled engineers.
Experience and strong aptitude for people management.
Experience in talent management including recruitment, team building as well as development of team members.
Experience of planning and scheduling development tasks for self and others.
Experience of VHDL/ Verilog and modelling at an architecture/ micro-architecture level.
Ability to learn and be flexible.
ML or CPU hardware design and implementation experience.
Machine Learning fundamentals.
Knowledge of the Arm architecture and AMBA bus system.
High-level programming experience such as C/C++.
Experience of Project Management practices and exposure to Project Life-cycle Management.
Good university degree, ideally in electronic engineering or computer science, although other science graduates will be considered if they have relevant experience.

About the office
The Arm Lund office is comprised of hardware and software developers working with Media Processing and with Machine Learning technology. The Media Processing team develops tomorrow's embedded Mali™ Video and Graphics technology and products while the Machine Learning Group develops key technologies for the future of computing.
The office is located in the vibrant Öresund region in the south of Sweden offering plenty of nature, city life, or natural experiences, alongside with Lund University and a range of tech companies.
