The FP&A Analyst - Candidate will report to the FP&A Manager and is directly responsible for managing and coordinating daily FP&A functions for the business. Candidate will monitor and evaluate financial data with the goal of providing thorough analysis to support business decisions. Acts as a financial liaison to various departments within the business. This position has the flexibility to be based in Pleasanton, CA or Warrendale, PA.

• Provide management reports and financial analysis, using primarily Excel, HFM, and Prophix software including but not limited to reporting of orders, sales, and regional profitability
• Lead financial system maintenance to ensure data integrity for key financial information, e.g., capital expenditure and demo equipment schedules
• Prepare monthly department performance analysis of expenses vs. forecast/budget.
• Build and maintain forecast by department.  Partner with various department managers to create and maintain their monthly department expense forecasts and annual budgets
• Assist FP&A Manager with numerous month-end reporting activities including data collection, report development, and analysis amongst other ad hoc activities.
• Serve as liaison to department managers, assisting them with finance related issues as needed.   This includes unpaid invoice tracking and research, data mining, and validation of expenses.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis and project work assigned by the VP of Finance.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• 2-3 years of related accounting and finance experience
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of US GAAP and SOX controls
• Experience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Prophix, and Microsoft Dynamics Navision is a plus
• Superior organizational skills and attention to details
• Work requires effective oral and written communications skills as well as a strong analytical acumen
• Confident and self-motivated with a flexible approach to work
