The AMETEK Specialty Metal Products (SMP) Division is a global leader in the development and production of an array of superior metal products. Superior Tube Company specializes in the development and production of highly specialized precision metal tubing for a wide variety of applications which includes aerospace, defense and commercial nuclear and medical. The plant is in Collegeville, PA and generates sales $50M. This plant and another located in Plymouth, UK make up SMP’s global tubes business.

3rd Shift Industrial Electrician:

Maintain and repair machinery/electrical issues.  Programming and calibrating of controllers, recorders, and electronic instruments.  Troubleshoot from ladder diagrams, schematics, and prints.

Position Requirements:
Must be skill trained in basic electric, motor control, trouble shooting and instrumentation/PLC.  Knowledge of PLCs, laptop computer interface.  Knowledge of electrical/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic operations and functions.  Knowledge of other trades is a plus.  Must possess a technical degree or verifiable experience, successfully pass a vision and hearing test annually or at such time deemed necessary by the Company.  Selected candidate is required to be part of the on-call electrician schedule.
