Accountabilities and Specific Requirements:
The Pipeline Planning Supervisor reports to the Pipeline Area Manager and provides supervisory direction for APSC field and urban staff:
- Ensures safe, effective, and efficient planning and scheduling of all pipeline and Right of Way work including engineering, maintenance, inspection, and construction activities.
- Ensures safe, effective, and efficient planning and scheduling of all system & equipment outages, shutdowns, and intrusive work activities.
- Ensures standardized tools are used for planning and scheduling.
- Works alongside the Integrated Planning Supervisor to ensure work is adequately planned, coordinated, and communicated to the Integrated Planning Team for inclusion and maintaining of the Integrated Plan and Portfolio Long Range Plan.
- Works in conjunction with the Maintenance Supervisors, Civil Maintenance Coordinators, Area Managers, and Implementation Leads to prioritize and schedule work activities, batch work when applicable, and effectively use all available resources.
- Serves as central point of contact for the coordination of many divergent groups and individuals involved in planning and performing work.
- Provides guidance to team members, monitors, and drives progress to enable the timely planning, readiness, delivery and close-out of all maintenance and construction activities within the pipeline corridor and its facilities.
- Enables and energizes team members for continued growth, development and success while promoting continuous improvement and agility across the team and organization.
- Ensures priority and drives progress and data quality for work activities associated with risk management and issue resolution.
- Supervises internal and contractor resources as required to support maintenance planning, coordination, and scheduling.
- Perform analysis to determine trends and make projections of final cost and schedule completion, provide corrective action and recommendation.
- Maintains effective working relationship with various stakeholders including Operations, Maintenance, Business Groups, and , Contractors.
- Performs duties as an alternate Shutdown Coordinator in conjunction with the Integrated Planning Supervisor.
MINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must meet or exceed these minimum job requirements to apply for this position.
- Bachelor’s degree *
- Five (5) years direct experience in a maintenance or construction role in an industrial setting
- Experience in a lead or superintendent role overseeing maintenance and construction activities
- Experience working within a computerized scheduling and maintenance (computerized Maintenance Management system)
- Broad knowledge of maintenance & construction concepts, practices, and procedures
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to provide technical guidance to office and field-based personnel
- *Equivalent of experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree on a year-for-year basis.
PREFERENCES:
- Bachelor’s degree and Ten (10) years direct experience in a maintenance or construction role in an industrial setting.
- Five (5) years direct experience in a lead, superintendent, construction supervisor or maintenance supervisor role.
- Five (5) years direct experience working within a computerized scheduling and maintenance (CMMS) system.
- Strong technical knowledge and experience conducting and/or overseeing maintenance and construction activities across a variety of discipline & craft fields.
- Experience using a complex database reporting application and other computer programs such as Business Objects, Oracle, and Microsoft Office.
- Work management, planning, scheduling, and data reporting experience.
- Experience providing technical guidance to staff, peers, and management.
- Technical communication ability (preparation and facilitation of presentations regarding maintenance planning and implementation to all levels of organization, written procedures and guidelines, modification requests and justifications, etc.).
- Broad understanding of the TAPS Shutdown coordination process.
