In this role you will be responsible for:


  • Drives Efficient, effective, and patient centered care with a strong focus on quality, outcomes, including patient experience and , medical staff and employee  engagement

  • Overseeing the operations of Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia Medical/Surgical Nursing Services

  • Change Agent for the provision of high quality services

  • Plays a key role in driving Culture of Service and Safety and leading Magnet imperatives

  • Financial/budgetary oversight of designated areas of responsibility

  • Assist in development/prioritization of capital budget and related purchases

  • Complete formalized operational assessment

  • Assess staffing schedules and overall FTEs

  • Prepare Monthly report of determined metrics, Evaluate all Medical/Surgical Managers/Leaders

  • Responsible for developing, revising and implementing policies and processes

  • Participate in Network Nursing; Leadership and Director Meetings; Medical/Surgical Services Shared Governance; and Planning Activities





If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:

  • Registered nurse eligible for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania required

  • BSN and MSN required, certification and Magnet experience  preferred

  • Minimum 5 years recent and progressive managerial experience required

  • Experience in Urban, Teaching Hospital required

  • Six or more years Medical/Surgical Experience required

  • Excellent Communication Skills, Demonstrated success in partnering and communicating with physicians and other organizational leaders to achieve optimal program results

  • Proven leader with the ability to motivate and inspire people, mentor nursing leaders, and to recruit, retain and mentor staff

  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced and changing environment with multiple priorities and objectives

  • High energy and action oriented with a willingness to step in and learn the details whenever necessary

  • Proven record in financial acumen, including establishing and maintaining budgets
