Lovelace Women's Hospital is hiring a Tumor Registrar
Responsible for the maintenance of the computerized database and daily functions of the LSHS Tumor Registry in collaboration with the New Mexico Tumor registry and other cancer registries.
Adheres to policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Responds to all requests for data or information from LSHS Cancer Committee, NM Tumor Registry Staff, and other cancer registries within one week of request.
Maintains confidentiality and security of patients’ data in accordance with LSHS policy and State and Federal regulations.
Minimum education- High school diploma or GED
Desired- Associate's degree in allied health or business related field
Anatomy & physiology; medical terminology
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database software; ability to maintain strict confidentiality; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently or as an effective team member
1 year of previous job related experience
Certified Tumor Registrar preferred
