Position Description:

Hillcrest Medical Center Child Development Center is seeking a Certified Childcare Professional, who is energetic, organized, typically happy and smiling, caring, able to multi-task and uses good judgment.  The hours are usually 11:00am - 8:00pm. Reporting to the Child Development Center Director, the Certified Childcare Professional will be dedicated to providing outstanding care for primarily infants (30 days to 1 year age group) of HMC employees.   


  • Maintain an open, friendly and cooperative relationship with each child and each child's family
  • Provide a learning environment for the children that is warm, supporting and comforting
  • Promote feelings of security and trust with the children and parents
  • Ensure children have adequate supplies from home, such as diapers
  • Feed and diaper children according to schedule
  • Plan and implement infant curriculum
  • Complete daily charts and reports
  • Maintain a positive and collaborative attitude
  • Conduct daily safety inspection of the classroom and outdoor learning environment
  • Engage in required health and safety procedures to reduce the spread of germs and ensure the safety ot the children
  • Cooperate successfully as a team

Position Requirements:


  • High school or GED, and obtained the qualifications at Level III or higher of the DHS Professional Development Ladder
  •  3 years professional childcare experience, infants preferred
  • CDA (Child Development Associate Credential) or CCP (Certified Childcare Professional)
  • Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and provide care for up to four infants at a time
  • Possess the skills to perform the position responsibilities
  • Meet the background investigation requirements per Oklahoma State Licensing Standards
  • Work with children without physical, psychological or emotional punishment, mistreatment, or abuse
  • Individualize the care and learning opportunities to meet each child's needs based upon the child's age and abilities, including reviewing the information provided by the parent while respecting confidentiality
  • Oklahoma Professional Development Ladder: Maintain a current OPDL certificate per State Licensing Standards
  • Local candidates preferred; no relocation assistance available for this position
