The Medical Technologist is responsible for overall daily operations and testing in the laboratory, reviews and maintains quality control and preventative maintenance records, reviews and updates procedure manuals, inventories laboratory supplies, and evaluates new test and procedures.
Must posses a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology program.
Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress. Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards when no directions are given.
Desirable characteristics include at least two years experience as a Medical Technologist.
Must be eligible for ASCP or equivalent registry. Or must possess an Associate degree from an accredited college or university and be AMT certified.
