Position Description:

The Director, HRIS will provide direction for the design, development, implementation, and evolution of enterprise HR systems and programs. This role will develop and lead best practices in HR technology, process improvement and HR system administration and support.  Will collaborate with HR and business leaders to understand needs in order to offer solutions that leverage systems capability and improve data analytics.  Will act as an expert advisor to executive leadership regarding HR systems, data integrity, and technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a human capital technology strategy and roadmap that supports the achievement of short and long term strategic business objectives
  • Direct, design, develop, and guide all aspects of HRIS programs and HR processes
  • Implement “best practice” strategies for HRIS structures and data integrity analytics
  • Assess and improve HR system functionality to enable HR and the business.  Ensure system maintenance, continuity and linkage with other company systems and technology
  • Lead activities to leverage the use of HR information systems to continuously improve analytics, forecasting, and reporting for the HR function and for the business
  • Lead and serve on both HR and cross-functional business-wide teams intended to establish and monitor business process ownership
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management.  Gain in-depth knowledge of the business to provide insight into the design and implementation of programs
  • Manage multiple corporate initiatives, programs, and projects, and ensure alignment with the overall business and HR strategy.  Establish metrics to assess the success of these initiatives, programs, and projects
  • Manage/monitor the operational budget and spend ensuring the efficient use of business resources.  Make recommendations to improve upon efficiencies and expense management
  • Hire, develop, and manage team members to build organizational capability and provide opportunities for job enrichment.  Ensure service excellence is a key priority among all team members.  Serve as a role model by embodying the characteristics of strong leadership
  • Direct and oversee the continued development, implementation, and evolution of HR Systems Reporting and Analytics in alignment with the business strategy of enabling increased HR value
  • Identify and lead Continuous Improvement efforts related to HR information systems functionality and capability, integrations with other company systems and HR processes and procedures to support a high level of performance for the business
  • Partner with HR business leaders to define and supply appropriate data metrics and analytics to drive employee related business decisions
  • Leverage systems and technology (and make recommendations for) as a means to increase efficiency and productivity of the function, as well as simplifying processes and programs for employees
  • Build and manage relationships with third-party providers, auditors, consultants, and administrators

Position Requirements:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related technology field is required
  • Minimum of 7+ years of HRIS experience.  PMP certification is preferred
  • Proven “best practice” experience in HRIS programs, systems, and structures
  • Past experience with Lawson/Infor is preferred
  • Experience in managing through a matrix organization
  • Proven experience managing change in a healthcare environment
  • Experience in evaluating and selecting HR systems and tools
  • Ability to manage and negotiate with external suppliers and vendors
  • Experience implementing new HR technology platforms is desired

  • Ability to create a strategy surrounding HR technology platforms (HCM, ATS, LMS) in order to optimize their use
