Responsible for implementing, modifying, maintains and support medical imaging systems and imaging department management systems.
Configure applications and systems to meet objectives set by department and physician leadership
Participates as an Imaging System subject matter expert on cross-disciplinary project teams.
Configure, support and maintain associated computer hardware infrastructure.
Monitor system performance and take corrective actions to prevent future problems.
Research and recommend solutions to enhance the functionality and efficiency of support applications.
Learn and apply departmental standard tools and processes for project, time and problem tracking.
Manager projects to improve system performance, end user experience, system functionality and stability.
Coordinate support efforts among and between end users, physicians, vendors and internal IT teams.
Education/Licenses and Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science or related technology field.
2 – 4 years’ experience supporting PACS, CVPACS or other medical imaging systems.
Working knowledge of hospital imaging department processes and workflow.
Working knowledge of PC and server hardware, networking, storage technology and imaging modalities.
Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Office tools.
At least two years experience in applications support experience preferred
Proven ability to understand business and financial issues and objectives as well as the ability to translate them into application solutions.
Experience with HL7 application interfacing methodologies preferred
Experience managing and supporting Departmental and Enterprise Clinical Systems preferred
Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills
