We have an exciting opportunity to join our Epic Ambulatory team as Manager, Physician Systems.


The Manager, Physician Systems will report to the Director, Physician Systems and will focus on the management of the Ambulatory, Beacon and legacy staff. This position will provide leadership in the functional support, new business and system development of the Epic Ambulatory applications to enable the achievement of success in our clinical operations throughout the enterprise.


  • Management of 12-15 staff members
  • Developing system strategies with management and other stakeholders
  • Conducting needs analyses
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks
  • Supporting the applications users
  • Managing the implementation of application projects
  • Resource management and functional manager responsibilities
  • Project Management
  • Maintain and promote a high level of customer service at all times
  • Oversee and ensure the staff is maintaining service levels
  • Collaborates with various stakeholders and constituents to introduce solutions; identifying system deficiencies, managing enhancement requests, application updates, and implementations
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Must be willing to participate in on-call rotation schedule
Position Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree


  • 5+ years of information technology experience in healthcare required
  • 3+ years of management experience required
  • 3+  years of Epic experience with full life cycle hospital or ambulatory implementations preferred
  • Epic Ambulatory certification strongly preferred
  • Experience with system updates /upgrades and change management


  • Must display the ability to be a team player and work well with employees at all levels
  • Must have excellent communication skills: both oral and written
  • Must be highly organized and able to focus on multiple demands
  • Promote a collaborative environment, building effective working relationships with others
  • Solid understanding of hospital/clinic workflows and able to promote best practices
