Position Description:

BSA Health System is an extensive hospital system providing clinical excellence to the Texas Panhandle and the tri-state area. BSA is acclaimed for its superior quality and customer service.

The Registered Nurse is accountable for the health status and health needs of their patients based upon interpretation of health data and preventative health practices in collaboration with the patients and the interdisciplinary healthcare team members.

This Staff RN position requires teamwork and the ability to be flexible in order to adapt and float to the medical surgical units (4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th floors with potential cross-training for ICU/Pedi) within the hospital as part of the Resource team to provide nursing during peak census time, call-ins and vacancies.

Position Requirements:

Licenses and Certifications:
Current Texas RN license
CPR certified from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Previous nurse tech or 1-year of staff nursing experience desired
Assess, plan, evaluates, documents total nursing process
Organized, self-motivated with exceptional follow-through skills
Computer skills necessary; EMR EPIC documentation
Multi-task constantly and tolerate multiple interruptions
Clear and effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
Compassionate customer service skills
Committed to patient and family satisfaction
