EBSCO Publishing is the leading provider of electronic databases for libraries, schools, corporations, medical institutions and consumers worldwide. EBSCOhost, EP’s internet-based search platform, is one of most used reference resources around the world.
EBSCO is looking for writers from Australia and New Zealand who hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree, and/or have relevant professional experience in the following fields: Ecology, Economics, Education, Environmental Science, Finance, Law, Medical/MD, Political Science, Sociology, Theology. Authors will write articles for the forthcoming Australia/New Zealand Points of View Reference Center database, a high school debate product that focuses on current, controversial issues.

Skills:

A firm grasp of social, political and historical trends as they apply to Australia and New Zealand is required. Experienced freelance candidates should possess thorough attention to detail, the talent to produce clear, concise copy, excellent research skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Writers must also be able to adapt their style to fit the specific needs of high school students.
Writers will be paid in US dollars on a per-article basis, and will receive a short biographical note and an author credit on all pieces that are published. Eligible candidates will also be asked to create a 500-word writing sample on a trial topic that we will provide.
