Essential Functions:
|
Supervise a staff of 6-10 traveling examiners, including monitoring development of staff, providing coaching and mentoring, and making salary and promotion recommendations.
Manage a portfolio of institutions, including ensuring appropriate allocation of resources across institutions, consistent application of risk focused supervision principles, assisting institution contacts with monitoring activities, and ensuring appropriate communication of issues to management and staff.
Seek out and participate in opportunities to enhance skills, including assisting with System or Reserve Bank special projects.
Act as a technical resource on examinations and inspections by assisting with on-site supervision activities and maintaining technical expertise.
Participate as a member of the management team by ensuring appropriate allocation of resources among priorities, championing initiatives for change, and reviewing and developing department and section policies, procedures, and goals.
Provide assignments and training in a equitable manner, taking into account the needs of the Reserve Bank and career development goals of individuals.
Safeguard equipment, sensitive data, and resources according to the SRC Information Security and Data Handling Handbook.

Requirements:
|
Bachelor's degree with coursework or major in business, accounting, or finance, or closely related field. Examiner credentials and commission.
Generally 6 or more years of experience.
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated mentoring/coaching/leadership skills.
Effective organizational skills.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Ability to travel 40-70%.
Travel to financial institutions requires carrying a laptop computer and examination workpapers (which generally weigh about 30 lbs.) in addition to one's personal luggage.
A requirement of this position is that the employee must be a "Protected Individual." A "Protected Individual" includes but is not limited to: (1) a citizen or national of the U.S.; or (2) an alien who is lawfully admitted to the U.S. for permanent residence and who applies for citizenship within six months of being eligible to apply for citizenship and, if offered a position with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, will sign a Declaration of Intent to Become a United States Citizen.
