Essential Functions:
|
The Federal Reserve Bank has an opening in their Law Enforcement department. This position will participate in Department's basic law enforcement training program to obtain required training for certification as a commissioned Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officer. Reads and studies classroom materials, manuals, law books, lecture notes and other materials in order to gain knowledge and prepare for class lectures and written and practical examinations.
Successfully completes all aspects of the Federal Reserve System Law Enforcement Officers Training Program by achieving a passing score of 70% on the Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officer commissioning examination. Failure to attain a score of 70% after the third examination may result in termination from employment for failure to meet minimum required performance standards.
Develops awareness and understanding of the functions and responsibilities of a Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officer.
Serves as a representative of the Law Enforcement Department, demonstrating a positive attitude and progressive actions through the display of professionalism, courtesy, and appropriate tact and discretion in all interactions with employees and with the public.
Demonstrates familiarity, knowledge, and the ability to apply Federal Reserve law enforcement techniques, procedures, Department organization, rules, policies, procedure and related laws.
Demonstrates familiarity and knowledge of Department firearms, post operations, including, as appropriate, the use of electronic access control systems, closed circuit television systems, x-ray machines and metal detection units for regulating movement of employees, guests and visitors by ensuring they are properly identified, recorded and controlled.
Responds to and demonstrates ability to assess emergency situations, such as crimes in progress, medical emergencies, accidents, hazardous material incidents, bomb threats, fires, demonstrations, and takes immediate action to neutralize or contain the situation.
Prepares accurate and informative reports.

Requirements:
|
Associate Degree in Criminal Justice or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 2 years of military, law enforcement or armed security experience.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment medical evaluation, drug test, and psychological evaluation after a conditional offer of employment is made.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to lift, carry or drag up to 150 pounds.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
If a Veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, must provide a DD-214.
Vision must be at or correctable to 20/20.
