Zurich Insurance is currently looking for an Assistant Vice President with Global Energy experience to join our Global Energy Team. Candidates must have Underwriting and Global Energy experience and can be located in New York, Atlanta or North Carolina.

Our Assistant Vice President of Global Energy is responsible for:
1. Underwriting and analyzing new and renewal on-shore Property business for the region. Lines of business include Energy, Power Generation, Oil, Gas, Petrochemical and Mining.
2. Market facing and production for the Northeast territory.  
3. Administering and monitoring underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations and rating manual rules.
4. Marketing Zurich's products and services through an agency or brokerage community and developing/maintaining the most significant agency and broker relationships
5. Working within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignments.
6. Provide technical guidance, assistance, and training to lower level associates.



The Assistant Vice President of Global Energy will posses the following:
1. Bachelors Degree Preferred
2. 8+ Years of Related Experience
3. Highly advanced knowledge and practice of Energy, Power Generation, Oil, Gas, Petrochemical and Mining.
4. Strong Broker relationships
5. Strong knowledge of underwriting philosophies, techniques, national/local filing regulations and guidelines.
6. Ability to effectively assess risk.
7. Ability to multi-task.
8. Ability to function in a team environment.
9. Possess knowledge of time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business.
10. PC literate.
11. Strong negotiation skills.
