Position Information
Position, under minimal supervision and according to general directions, performs varied secretarial duties which relieve the Executive Director and other administrative staff of the WakeMed Physician Practices. Serves as liason between Executive Director, Practice Managers, and Manager of Financial Operations and the Medical Staff members. The Secretary must present a professional image, maintain strict confidentiality, use discretion and sound judgment in performing duties which include exceptional communication, organizational and customer service skills, be computer literate, screening and prioritizing all incoming correspondence and telephone calls. Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of WakeMed Physician Practices and WakeMed.
Experience Requirements
:
Minimum two years administrative secretarial experience required; preferably in hospital or medical office setting. Minimum typing speed 55 wpm, Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Access, Excel, Power Point), dictaphone, medical terminology, shorthand preferred. Bilingual in Spanish desired.
Education Requirements

High school diploma/GED required. Two year diploma/degree from accredited business school preferred.
