Job Description
Performs repair, maintenance and installation of electrical circuits, motors, generators, control panels and electrical control devices for Marine equipment to include tug boats and shore power devices. Detects, troubleshoots and diagnoses electrical/alarm systems, AC/DC and marine electrical grounding systems working with 110v- 480v services.
Works from verbal or written instructions, samples, sketches, diagrams or blueprints to repair, maintain or install electric equipment such as motors, switches, circuit breakers, electric safety devices, light fixtures, resistors, electro-magnets, transformers, starters, outlets, solid state devices, logic devices, etc.
Performs other duties as required by Supervisor.
Required Skills
Should have working knowledge of generators 15kw up to 60kw. Should have understanding of marine electrical grounding systems. Prefer 2-3 years of marine electrical experience. High school diploma or GED.
