Job Description
Performs electrical repairs, upgrades and maintain to systems on stationary sand and gravel equipment and Ready Mix and Asphalt Batch plants. Acts as a liaison between contractors and the Company when necessary. Purchases and picks up parts as required to perform repairs. Performs regular preventative maintenance on plant equipment and offices. Others duties as assigned.
Required Skills
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school graduate or equivalent required. Must have experience as an Industrial Electrician in a plant setting. Must be familiar with motor control, NEC Code, and PLC’s. Must be computer literate. Experience with low and medium voltage is required. Two (2) to three (3) years experience in sand and gravel operations and ready mix and asphalt plants is preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a Certified Electrician. Must have the ability to climb ladders, lift components up to 50 pounds, work at heights of up to 100-feet and move in a variety of body positions. Must have the ability to operate various types of mobile equipment, including but not limited to forklifts and man lifts. Must have the ability to read technical manuals and understand schematic diagrams. A valid driver’s license is required.
