Position Summary

The Business Development Consultant has the overall responsibility to increase the number of True Value retail locations within an assigned geographic area through site and prospect identification. This position will require intensive collaboration with the Retail Consultants, Regional Managers and Credit Services and varied personnel throughout the organization.

Position Description

- Manage the Investors and Prospect process by financially qualifying the prospects, identifying and validating viable hardware locations and/or facilitating the sale of an existing True Value store.
- Facilitate the process of identifying open markets and viable hardware locations. This process will support field (Retail Consultants) solicitation of second and branch store locations with current True Value store owners (retailers).
- Assist in developing and maintaining investor and prospect presentation materials.
- Assist in/or facilitate the sale of an existing True Value store.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Interprets situations not outlined in procedures; escalates policy related issues.
- Ensures that decisions are made at the appropriate levels; supports and holds others accountable for making the best possible decisions.
- Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures with knowledge in this field.

Minimum Education Requirements:
- 7 to 10 years of related work experience
- Other Industry/Discpline experience: Sales, Retail

- Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent work experience
