This position is responsible for the development, administration, and maintenance of programs necessary to enhance Suddenlink’s ability to monitor performance of our engineering network.   This position requires both technical experience and the ability to interface with all levels of users. This position will require user support and training as needed. This position will require the ability to work with various groups (both internal and external) to gather application/tool requirements.  
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide application support; install, configure upgrades, troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain software for network management applications.

Work independently in troubleshooting and providing solutions to unresolved software problems.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize effectively with strong appreciation for deadlines.

Designs and develops user interfaces to internet/intranet applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests.

Performing routine audits, backups, updates, and patches of systems and software

Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resetting passwords, etc.

System performance tuning to ensure that the network infrastructure is up and running. Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.  

Answering technical queries, responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system, assist with application and user support as needed.

Ability to work without supervision on short term projects.

Participate in on-call rotation, advanced troubleshooting, and resolution of problem requests. Serve as an escalation point for other team members as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors of Science in Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline.
5-7 years’ experience including XHTML, JavaScript, PHP, PERL and Relational databases
Ability to hard code XHTML, JavaScript, PHP, PERL,and SQL statements without WYSIWYG tools. Create, optimize, and maintain MySQL databases.

Experience maintaining a database system with a high focus on the integrity and performance of the system and data within. Skillset in creating a relational database schema from user input and business rules.
