The Director is responsible for managing the promotion of QIAGEN products related to the development of Companion Diagnostics (CDx) and Pharmacogenomic Tests.  This role must manage and lead a team of Specialists to ensure optimization of product messaging and implementation of the corporate strategic and resulting tactical plans in the achievement of budget attainment.  This position must have an understanding how to leverage, to the benefit of the organization, E-commerce platforms, market dynamics across various segments, and the major funding bodies in the Life Science space.  The Director is responsible for tracking budget achievement, tracking lost business, identifying and understanding market trends, monitoring CRM system compliance, and driving all initiatives, ensuring excellent execution by his/her team.  The Director must work effectively with Regional Marketing, Customer Service, Technical Support, and Field & Inside sales for maximum revenue generation.

Target Account Segments, including but not limited to:
•Clinical Hospital and Reference Lab Market
•Biopharmaceutical research & development

•Strategy: Drive regional expansion of Personalized Healthcare/Companion Diagnostics (CDx) across all customer classed in conjunction with the Area and Inside Sales sales forces.  Implement Company strategy through specific territory plans and sales teams.
•Sales Revenues / Budgets: Meet/Exceed sales targets. Increase sales of all QIAGEN products by managing all sales functions i.e consumables/specialists /instrumentation and developing tactical plans to maximize revenues. Monitor and manage sales and expense budgets.  Engage in reimbursement negotiations
•Planning / Forecasting: Responsible for the development/agreement and monitoring of annual sales targets, key performance indictors and revenue forecasts.  Identify and qualify leads in cooperation with Field & INSS reps.  Help develop regional marketing plans
•Business / Markets: Lead regional Pharma co-commercialization projects to promote FDA-cleared CDx.  Develop key opinion leaders and key pathology accounts.  Work with regional KOL and oncologists on FDA-cleared assays for patient advocacy.  Support physician education
•Development: Coach and develop individuals and teams so that they have the direction, skills and tools to achieve targets.  Provide regular feedback and conduct performance reviews.
•Communication: Organize meetings/communication channels to ensure effective communication across business units. Maintain and develop relationships with key customers.


BS in Life Science or equivalent required

● A minimum of 1 year related laboratory experience
● At least 8 years successful sales experience with a proven track record in the personalized health care field
2+ years of Management experience with a minimum of 3 direct and indirect reports with a proven track record of successful mentoring and coaching of the team during tenure.
● Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills
● Strong time management and organizational skills
