Position Description Estimators in the Toronto District assist the lead estimator with bid preparation on large projects. Estimators may take the lead on smaller estimates. They consistently seek the challenge of a new opportunity. It is essential that they establish and maintain an excellent relationship with subtrades, suppliers and clients.
Position Requirements Responsibilities essential to this position include:• Detailing quantity survey on self-performed work and portions of complex projects. Entering quantities in estimate.• Performing initial pricing of assigned direct cost items. • Assisting in setting up alternates and unit prices. • Performing bid day assignments. Take bids and analyze bid recaps. • Distributing bid documents to subs and suppliers. • Transferring "will bid" subs and suppliers to recaps.
