Position Description PCL Construction Management Inc. has an immediate requirement for a Civil Construction Estimator with a minimum of three years experience in estimating all aspects of Civil Construction work.This position is based in Calgary, Alberta.
Position Requirements We're looking for individuals who have estimating and quantity takeoff experience for civil construction projects such as self performed cast-in-place concrete work, road building, earthwork, bridges, underground utilities and retaining walls. We are looking for someone with: • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written• Gold Seal Certification in estimating would be an assetMajor responsibilities may include:• Soliciting subcontractors, suppliers and specified manufacturers• Detailed specification and drawing review• Scheduling estimating team reviews• Distributing and maintaining control of bid documents• Reviewing special proposal requirements with the Chief Estimator• Doing all pricing or assigning pricing duties• Maintaining addendum control• Setting up general expense• Identifying special requirements• Assisting in the presentation of the estimate/proposal• Completing as-bid estimate• Ensuring that all bid forms are completed and properly executed
