We are seeking an experienced Software Developer for our North American Headquarters District office located in Edmonton, AB.

Responsibilities

• Develop software to corporate and project software standards.


• Tune software to meet non-functional requirements.


• Create and perform system load tests.


• Create and execute unit tests.


• Participate in code reviews.


• Fix bugs.


• Participate in proof of concepts and other research work.


• Participate in creation of technical design documents based off of business and functional requirements.


• Participate in the design of solutions to business problems


• Breakdown technical designs into development tasks.


• Produce development effort estimates.


• Produce as-built system documentation.


• Communicate progress throughout development.


• Work with all practice areas to streamline work activities and achieve best solutions.


• Participate in lessons learned meetings.


• Create application deployment packages and work with the Change Management team to deploy changes.


• Maintain, enhance, and perform technology upgrades on custom built applications.


• Produce system documentation.


• Provide tier 3 technical support for custom built applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years industry experience as a software developer working with .Net, specifically C#.


• Proficient with ADO. Net Entity Framework.


• Proficient with WPF and the MVVM design pattern.


• Proficient with SQL Server databases and transact SQL.


• Proficient with web based development using HTML5, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX and MVC.


• Proficient with SQL Server Reporting Services.


• Proficient with Restful Services using WCF.


• Experience with SharePoint development is a plus.


• Experience with Windows 8 Application development is a plus.


• Experience with iOS application development is a plus.
