Position Summary: The Forensic Nurse Examiner is responsible for providing assessment, screening, treatment, and forensic evidence collection for adolescent and adult victims of sexual assault. This position requires substantial specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill based upon the principles of biological, physiological, behavioral and sociological sciences. This position requires the use critical thinking skills in making decisions regarding patient care; this critical thinking includes knowledge and integration of available standards, resources, and data.
Minimum Requirements: Two years experience in a family, women’s health, maternal/child or emergency health care setting, as a nurse or nurse practitioner. Experience in Crisis Management and/or Advanced Psycho-Social Nursing
Education/Licenses/Certifications: Current WA state RN license. Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner preferred.
