Position Summary
The Physical Therapist II is responsible for evaluating and setting up treatment programs for patients.  He or she is then responsible for following through with the program, reevaluating and eventually discharging the patient.  The Physical Therapists II may delegate appropriate portions of the treatment program to supportive personnel, supervising them accordingly.  Additionally, he or she is responsible for coordinating and leading a committee or task force dealing with the improvement of the department or program. Evaluation of patients. Development of treatment program. Carrying out of treatment program. Range of Motion. Strengthening/Exercise. Hydrotherapy. Balance activities. Coordination. Functional Activities. Ambulation. Massage. Physical Modalities. Communication/Documentation. Teaching patient, family education.

Minimum Requirements
Two years of experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist. Able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing to patients, patient's families, staff and physicians. Ability to read basic documentation forms for charting purposes and read medical records. Ability to work well with others. Ability to support patients weighing 150+ lbs. Ability to stand for 1-2 hours at a time and move about the facility freely. Ability to stoop and kneel for short periods throughout the day. Ability to identify occupational hazards and use safety precautions. Ability to use therapeutic modalities.
Competent in evaluation and treatment skills of primary patient diagnostic groups of service area in which working (ie. Orthopedics, neurological rehabilitation, work rehabilitation).

Education/Licenses/Certifications
Valid and current Washington State Physical Therapy License.
