ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT II, Alumni Association-Annual Fund, to provide diverse and complex administrative support for three Annual Fund staff officers including all phases of class-based fund-raising efforts from volunteer recruitment, and ongoing class campaign results tracking through final campaign stewardship needs. Will be responsible--in partnership with Class and Affinity Giving staff--for regional fund-raising event coordination for MIT10 (graduates of the last decade) and the MIT Connection (alumni 11-24 years since graduation) as well as the coordination of regionally-based volunteer training programs for all Annual Fund volunteers; managing content, error tracking, and volunteer feedback for the Annual Fund’s online prospect management tool (PMT) for volunteer fund-raisers; and daily volunteer management of MIT’s Cardinal and Grey Reunion Gift volunteers (post-50th reunion).

REQUIRED:  three years’ work experience; excellent administrative skills; detail orientation; strong attention to accuracy; ability to coordinate multifaceted tasks; experience with event planning and coordination; excellent interpersonal and strong verbal and written communication skills; a proactive approach to problem solving evidenced by a sense of urgency, creativity, and resourcefulness; flexibility; familiarity and experience with computers; demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases (Advance preferred); and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.  Must be able to work on several projects simultaneously  and function effectively under pressure and despite frequent interruptions in a service-oriented environment.  Bachelor’s degree and an interest in fund-raising preferred. Background in nonprofit organizations beneficial.  Job #11465-5
